The Family Business!
A picture postcard of the old store building and Grandpa Dolezal's business card.
Jerry Dolezal got this picture of the inside of the old store from Mike Woytinek. Can you identify the faces in the photo? Thanks Jerry and Mike!
Lane Street as a dirt street and later as it looked in 1916 with new street lamps and paved with brick.
The caption on this picture says Main Street, but this is
actually Lane Street looking south from the area where the
Gayble Theater stood. The Sramek building is visible on the
right. Note that this picture was taken after the first photo above,
but before the second photo. The new street lamps have been installed
but the street has not yet been paved.
This appears to be a parade float, perhaps the first one in the long history of the store. Identities of those in the photo are unknown.
Notice the wheels on the wagon. Looks like Grandpa bought it from the Flintstones.
Received the picture from Alice Faye Dolezal via Jerry and Linda.
Below is the last Two Joes' float commemorating the 90th anniversary in 1992. Riding on the float are Alice Dolezal, Mildred Akers, and Agnes Origer.
